A veritable Russian Doll of tangents are at the fore of this week’s episode, where the sheer amount of unrelated topics careening wildly off the road is positively mind boggling. It’s like, you know when you’re in the middle of a sentence and you think of something else and then you get stuck on that thing but you were supposed to be talking about something else? That’s this episode.
Right…where was I? Oh yes…The Pagemaster! It’s a film that we’re talking about this week, with microphones precariously balanced on mic stands only prevented from falling over by apples in a bag hung from the back and a pop filter wedged into the shock mount taped to a plastic knife. And why? Because both mic stand and pop filter broke within minutes of each other before recording. But that’s neither here or there. I just wanted you to know how hard it was.
As a result, Jonny’s mood took a turn for the cantankerous with the black cloud that used to form over Si’s head ominously gliding over to him, with hilarious and/or annoying results. You decide.
Boobies are mentioned, Jonny explains what auto-correct is, we forget which Planet of the Apes movie is which, something about Henry Cavill…
And we talk about The Pagemaster for roughly some of the runtime, I promise.

Happy Halloween! 'Tis the night of ghouls, ghosts, witches, goblins and pumpkins and what better way to celebrate it than to stay inside, lock the doors, hide your candy (because it's MINE!) and listen to us chat about The Frighteners?
Peter Jackson's 1996 breakout flick sees Michael J. Fox as Frank Bannister, a con man who sets up hauntings so that he can exorcise houses. The twist? He can actually see ghosts and he sends his deceased pals Cyrus and Stuart to throw things around. When a hooded grim reaper figure starts killing off the townsfolk, Frank's on the case!
We recommend this movie heartily, it's a good 'un.
We open our episode with a discussion about bad language, so it's allowed. Rated E for Educational.

Hello and welcome to What's Our...? Because it's half of what it normally is, due to the absence of one Si. It's alright, he's fine, he's not dead or anything... we just didn't have time to meet this week, so instead, I decided to give my thoughts on the Halloween 2018 trilogy, that culminated in this week's release of Halloween Ends. Both Kills and Ends have been critically ripped apart, and audiences haven't been too kind either, so I wanted to check them out and find out if I agreed. Do they hit Morbius levels of morbful? Or, worse...Avengers 1998 level??

Pray, dear listeners, for the demon resides within thee! The power of WOSN compels you!
We're not really speaking in tongues, we just sound like that.
This week, we're eating cans of pea soup while engaging in some light movie watching. It's Halloween movie #2, The Exorcist (1973), directed by William Friedkin and most certainly not Tobe Hooper or Steven Spielberg. Let's just lay that to rest right now.
We unpack some of the mysteries surrounding this masterpiece of horror cinema, concluding...not much. Just that William Friedkin wouldn't get away with some of that shit today.
In the interim, a shocking, highly unorthodox reshuffling of the format that left one host...nonplussed, while Si seeks forgiveness for a rather prickly demeanor throughout. Repent! Repent, you heathen!

In just over a month, the ghouls, witches and demons shall rise up to wreak havoc as All Hallow’s Eve befalls us once more, and what better way to celebrate the festival of darkness than by watching scary movies?
This week, we watched Poltergeist, a Toe Pooper film, not at all directed by Steven Spielberg. And those skeletons in the pool aren’t real in the slightest.
Through a haze of fatigue (and a rather sudden expulsion of bodily gas during VFX Cavalcade), we trudged through this episode until we dragged ourselves, crawling, defeated, hoarse and ripping our own faces off, over the finish line. The episode was then edited over several days in order to make it seem like we acquitted ourselves with the utmost professionalism and composure.
Our efforts may have failed.

Morbius has gained cult status simply by being reportedly bad, but there are those who have said "well, it's not really so bad." Ever the detectives, we deigned to investigate to find out if Morbius is indeed bad... or not so bad. We did this through intricately developed investigative techniques that took us decades to learn in the art of investigation and whatnot. So we watched the film and made snarky comments about it on our podcast afterwards.
Si commendeers movie news and sets a new Guinness World Record for Dad puns, while Jonny plays random grunts from films and Si tries to guess what they are.

It's been a while, but here we are with our first full episode since the Eisenhower administration.
Last Action Hero, much maligned at the time for it's overly comedic and satirical style (here 1993, I'll help - it's a comedy and a satire...) and for the fact that it wasn't Jurassic Park, makes it's What's Our Seat Number debut as it pulls out it's magic ticket and slides effortlessly through our microphones and into episode 22.
With animated cats, black and white renderings of Humphrey Bogart and many, many cameos, audiences probably thought they'd accidentally walked into Planet Hollywood. But far removed from it's release and with our usual nostalgia glasses on, it's obvious that this is a hilarious and highly entertaining movie that should have recieved more love than it did.
As usual, we play games and talk trivia and movie news, with some added controversy this week because Jonny's not content with simply being cancelled, he also wants to watch the world burn. He just shot someone, he did it on purpose.
Aaaaaanyway. Enjoy.
